How do you feel about the SquareEnix merge
Squaresoft
Squaresoft has always been my favorite game company since I could remember. It seems that all their games they made turned out to be great. What is your favorite of the series or games the Squaresoft has made (besides Final Fantasy of coarse)? [For those who dont know: Squaresoft was the company that merged with Enix to create SquareEnix]btw, I don't like Enix.
One of my favorite series is the Front Mission series. Front Mission games are turn-based tactical mech customization strategy games With a story-line. My god, you could not have mashed up all my favorite genres into a better mix. Gameplay is great with lots of battles interesting story and up tp hours upon hours of Mech Cusomization. I garentee that once you gain money in this game, you'll spend at least 30min's trying to figure out an awsome custom mech.

Re: Squaresoft
Well, Enix did make the first RPG (Dragon Warior) and thats where Square got their idea for the first Final Fantasy (which saved the company from bankrupcy). So I guess Enix helped but they still suck(compared to Square)
Re: Squaresoft
What is the rarest Squaresoft game you've ever played or owned. I would have to say the Brave Fencer: Musashi, Enhinder, Ehrgiez, and Xenogears are some of the rarest I own (I dont Brave Fencer Musashi any more though).
Re: Squaresoft
I've only played a few Squaresoft Games, one of them being Secret of Evermore. It's sort of a rare one, but I like it a lot.
Re: Squaresoft
Nice, I've herd of that. I never really played many NES or SNES Square games. The only ones I've actually played on the SNES are Front Mission (Japanese), Secret of Mana (Japanese ver), and Final Fantasy Mystic quest (which I haven't had the time to play much of).

Re: Squaresoft
I've always loved traditional rpg's and their stories. So you hate rpg's-- what other kind of Squaresoft games might you like? How about Kindom Hearts. When I first herd about this game mixing Disney and FF I was extremely disapointed. From the time I herd about it- to the time I played it I felt like it was the dumbest idea in the world. But after I played it it made lots(or good enough) sense. The story and gameplay were surprisingly something great and new.
Re: Squaresoft
Actually I love rpg's, just not turn-based ones
And I've never played kingdom hearts

It's pretty good. "Refreshingly PG rated" That may sound wierd but it's very well made. Well, (since this is a Squaresoft thread I'll keep pushing Squareoft game) have you every played anyother Square game?
Re: Squaresoft
Idk maybe, I'm not sure what games were made by them

Re: Squaresoft
Oh. I guess it just my hobby to keep track of what different game companies are doing. I cant keep up anymore, there are so many new and underground companies, its hard to remeber them all. But back in the day I used to know everyone (PS1 and early PS2 era).
Another big game Square has made would be Crono Cross(ps1) and Crono Trigger(SNES). Both games are based on "time" and "paralel dimension". I really like Crono Cross becuase of its beautiful enviornments and music. The game features a branching story line that is based on the actions that you take in the game and the people you meet; there are several alternate endings as a result of this.
