Here's everything you need to know.
Go to the views editor (if you don't know where it is, it's a tab on the room editor (above where the objects stuff is ())))
The view has to be the right size. The view is probably already 640x480, if you want a different size just change it, make sure the 'port on screen' part is the same or it will stretch.
Make views enabled, there is a checkbox "enable the use of views" in the views tab in the room editor, that should be turned on.
Make the view follow the character object, the hbor set to 288 and the vbor 208 (so the player can move around a bit, not just be in the centre and the world moves around it.) Maximum speed -1, so the player can't go out of the view (unless it's going like 300 speed).
