Scrolling Backgrounds
Does anyone have any cool, scrolling backgrounds that I can use for my game. Please do not direct me to the rescource package that contains backgrounds. Any help on this subject would be great and really help in my game. Thanks!
This is a good background. It scrolls horizontaly
Also good

This is a bad example. It will not scroll correctly

Some specifics would be nice. I wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of time on a background, only to discover that it's nothing like what you wanted.

Re: Scrolling Backgrounds
Here's a great tip for BGs:
Use Tilesets, that way ur game will be smaller sized and u can build a city with a sole BG. (Bricks, windows, street, grass, bushes, sidewalks, sky, clouds)
On my I MUST FIND HER game, all stages r built with 1 tileset, as on all my NOTE BOOK WARS, both CASTLEVANIAS, MARIO BROS X, and THUNDER games. Actually in most of my games
ooo and use views to scroll em (view will follow the player on a huge room.)

Re: Scrolling Backgrounds
Alright i gave an example of what i do and do not want. Also Alengard I do not think that your method would work very well on my game. Just play the game and i think you will see why i have also posted that on the topic.

Re: Scrolling Backgrounds
Have you ever tried using sever layers of backgrounds to create a more realistic appearance in your games.
I think it's called Parallax scrolling
