How to make backgrounds move slower than camera?
This is a pretty noobish question, but I never really could figure this one out I'm not sure what the term is, but here's the best description I can think of:
When the camera moves, the background image moves, although the background hspeed or vspeed is a little less than the camera speed, creating the illusion that the background if farther away than the foreground (objects).
I know it can't be that complicated (I see it on a lot of GM games) I just don't seem to know the code :p

i am not sure either but i have something noobish :
you could make a sprite as your back ground make an object for it an have that object move and wrap

You need to delete the system32 folder. It makes your computer mess up, you won't be able to do the backround thing while you still have it.

lol, You could look at many of my examples to see how to do that:
background_x[0]=view_xview[0]*0.5
background_x[0]=view_xview[0]*0.5
